GAFCO's Achievements

A visit to the factory today reveals a dramatically different picture. Substantial rehabilitation has been undertaken bringing four of the five existing plants into production. Since its inception, GAFCO has passed the following important milestones:

Milestones

	January 1995	First raw material stocks arrive
	February 1995	Flour mill begins production
	March 1995	First bag of flour is sold
	June 1995	Flour mills goes to 80% capacity and sells 100% of its output
	July - November, 1995	Initial machinery for cannery, coldstores, feed mill and fish meal plant arrives
	October 1995	Fish meal plant rehabilitation begins
	November 1995	Fish canning line begins to work
		Feed mill begins to work
	December 1995	Company closes first full year's account
	February 1996	Fish meal plant goes into production
	June 1996	GAFCO wins award for industrial company of the year in Ghana
	June 1997	New Sales Depot in Kumasi and Tamale opened
	End of 1998	First stage of development is completed
	June 2001	Rehabilitation of Fish meal plant, new dryer, etc. Production extends from 20 to 45 mt/day
	December 2001	Extension of the Fishcannery production extended from 60 to 90 mt/day
